NEW! Yoga Stretch/Mindfulness with Louise Cardella

Wednesdays at 2 pm athe Mindfulness Practice Center,  Starting October 11

The class will include traditional yoga poses (asanas). In Yoga Stretch we move slowly through the positions, holding some for a minute or more.

This is done to work on lengthening the muscle to increase strength, flexibility and relaxation.
Yoga is a mindfulness practice. We will incorporate breath, concentration, focus and meditation into our routine.

The class will last for 55 minutes. There will be time after the class for gathering together for discussion and input to create a practice that is meaningful to everyone attending.

Bring a yoga mat or a blanket. A strap or yoga blocks or boosters are optional. For those who prefer to not sit on the floor, using a chair will be an option.

Paul Norton Interview

Dear Sangha,

Most of us know that Paul Norton is one of the founders and our spiritual teacher at the Mindfulness Community of Milwaukee.  But how did he get there, what led him on this path?

I interviewed and recorded Paul via Zoom almost one year ago.  I originally intended that people could watch the video. However, the picture and sound quality was not great (with those occasional bizarre loud Zoom noises), and Paul thought it may benefit from editing. We put the project on the back burner for a long time.  Finally, we decided to transcribe it, edit it just a bit, and make it available to you to read.

I’ve attached it as a pdf here, just in time for Paul’s continuation day tomorrow.  I hope you enjoy learning more about Paul and his journey.

Bows of gratitude,
Carolyn
