January: The Psychology of Meditation.  We will read basic Buddhist teachings about the structure of the mind, the arising of emotional confusion, and the path towards equanimity and personal stability.

February: Sangha-building.  What sort of community do we want to create among fellow practitioners of mindfulness?  We will explore how our community operates and draw lessons from other spiritual groups about strengthening the sangha’s collective energy.

March: Cultivating a Noble Heart.  We will read works of Pema Chodren, an American woman and Tibetan Buddhist teacher, about compassion and “bodhicitta”: (Sanskrit for awakened mind): two key goals of the Mahayana Buddhist path.
