In-town Meditation Retreat
Friday and Saturday, 28-29 September, 2007
Extend and stabilize your mindfulness practice at a convenient two-day retreat in the heart of Milwaukee’s East Side
You may participate on any day, for as long or as short as you like.
The retreat offers long periods of silent sitting and walking meditation.
Basic instruction on these core practices will be provided at the start of each morning session.
Date/Time: 11 am to 5:00 pm, Friday and Saturday, 29-29 Sept., 2007
Location: Mindfulness Community of Milwaukee, 2126 E. Locust, Milwaukee
Cost: No charge. Contributions to the Mindfulness Center are appreciated.
Please bring your own lunch, or join the group for lunch at a local restaurant. Tea, cookies, and fruit will be provided.
Retreat schedule
11:00 am Welcome to retreat; meditation instruction
11:15 – 1 pm Sitting and walking meditation (alternating periods of 30 minutes sitting and 10 minutes walking)
1 – 2:15 Lunch
2:15 – 3:30 Sitting and walking meditation
3:30 – 3:45 Break for refreshments or outdoor walking
3:45 – 5:00 Sitting and walking meditation
5:00 Brief dharma reading and closing
