This is a six week class that is a wonderful opportunity to explore the teachings of Mindful Self Compassion. It is a six week class and it is based on the work done by Christopher Germer and Kristin Neff. All classes will have meditation brief talks and practices. You will learn to:
Practicing self compassion and mindfulness in daily life
Understand the science of self compassion
Handle difficult emotions with greater ease
Motivate yourself with self kindness rather than self-criticism
Care for yourself while caring for others
Treat yourself as you would treat a good friend
The time frame is six Tuesdays at the mindfulness center, from April 14 to June 2 (no class on April 28 and May 26). Each class will be from seven to 8:30 PM.

The instructor is Barbara Mosher, MD, a trained teacher in mindful self compassion and cofounder of CompassionMKE. She is a family practice physician, (retired from clinical care), air, mental health advocate, and donkey enthusiast (very mindful creatures)
