NEW CLASS: Politics, Suffering and Practice

This is a five week class to explore mindfulness principles and practices to reduce suffering caused by living in a society hyper polarized by political beliefs and actions. Our objectives are:
Become aware of the suffering created by polarized politics.
Understand the causes of that suffering.
Learn how to overcome that suffering by developing a deeper understanding of ourselves and our current political environment.
Identify actions we can take, both within us and around us, that will reduce suffering caused by political strife.

Fee: $75 (scholarship available)
Location: Mindfulness Practice Center, 1922 E. Park Pl.

Led by Rusty Borkin, with Paul Norton. Rusty practices mindfulness, works in community development meant and studies history as a way to understand the present. Paul is ordained in the Order of Interbeing and practice leader.
